My name is Eitan Wetzler and I’m a documentary filmmaker. I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago (BA in Fine Arts) in 1983. Since then I have written, directed and produced hundreds of films in Israel, Europe and the United States, including documentaries, short reports, and promotional films.

On my return to Israel I spent 17 years as a freelance filmmaker for Israel’s Channel 1 TV. Among the many films and reports that I directed are two chapters of “Tkuma”, an international series about Israel, produced specially for Israel’s 50th anniversary in 1998. I have also directed many reports, short spots for National Geographic in Israel, and the film: “Red sea Green Future”, which was distributed worldwide in 2002.

I directed a dozen documentaries for VPRO Dutch Public Television for their prestigious international current affairs programs like: "Back Light", "Seven Days", "Diogenes" and others. VPRO Television is considered the most "culturally radical" group on Dutch TV. VPRO often collaborates with other broadcasting organizations such as WDR, a German public-broadcasting institutions, BBC United Kingdom and ARTE France.

Today, in light of the drastic changes in the world of television, digital revolution and Internet domination, I often film, direct, edit and market my films, depending on client’s needs and available budget.
